This package combines a stay at The Hotel Cairns, with a relaxing sail to the reef followed by a return Skyrail experience to Kuranda.

Day One: Arrive into Cairns, check into The Hotel Cairns

Day Two: Ocean Spirit Upolu & Oyster Reef Cruise

Ocean Spirit Upolu Reef day trip offers two beautiful destinations. Oyster Reef is a shallow, clear reef abundant with marine life, offering both snorkellers and divers protected waters in which to experience the true wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. Be as active or relaxed as you like - try your first ever scuba dive, or for the certified diver, enjoy being guided by our qualified instructors on some of the best dive sites on the reef.

Your second destination is another stunner, Upolu Reef is just magical with Moray Eels to check out, Giant Clams, Turtles and if your really lucky prehaps a reef shark.

Never Scuba Dived before? thought you might like to try it but don't have a licence? Well here is your opportunity...

Let Ocean Spirit's experienced PADI instructors show you how easy Scuba diving can be. Discover the wonders of the underwater world with an introduction to basic diving skills followed by a tour of the Great Barrier Reef. After your first scuba dive you'll receive a PADI Certificate of Recognition & memories to last a lifetime.  

A chef prepared lunch is included in the day.

Day Three: Kuranda Train & Skyrail

The Kuranda Scenic Railway is a spectacular journey offering views of World Heritage Listed rainforest, steep ravines and picturesque waterfalls within the Barron Gorge National Park.

This famous railway winds its way from Cairns to Kuranda. Kuranda Village is a quaint little township in the rainforest, situated where both Skyrail and the Kuranda Scenic Train journeys terminate.

Kuranda Village is famous for arts and crafts and indigenous artifacts and the excellent attractions of the Butterfly Sanctuary, Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Aviary. Passengers travelling with Tropical Horizons Day Tours may obtain discount entry to these attractions (show your tour sticker, train/railway or Skyrail pass).  The original Kuranda markets are held Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Heritage Markets open daily.

Your return journey is via the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway which spans 7.5kms over pristine rainforest. Gliding just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable six-person gondola cabins, the Skyrail journey will immerse you in an intimate rainforest experience. Enjoy the stunning rainforest scenery, panoramic views of the Cairns’ tropical region and the glittering waters of the Coral Sea.

During your Skyrail journey you will have time to explore two on the rainforest mid-stations - Red Peak and Barron Falls, where you can explore the forest floor on boardwalks, view the scenic look-outs and spend time in the state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretive Centre.

Departs:
9.30am - Cairns Central Station

3.00pm - Depart Skyrail
4.45 pm coach return to accommodation
